Great question! At the end of WWII Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish diplomat, saved thousands of Hungarian Jews by issuing certificates of protection. He was last seen in the company of Russian officials on January 17, 1945. He was detained on suspicion of espionage and never seen again. Taken along with him was his chauffeur, Langfelder. That's my maiden name, which was given to a distant relative by the Hungarian King. That means all Langfelders are related. He was never seen again either. It was that side of my family that inspired The Wild Rose, but I didn't use this story in that book. Hmmmm...

My most recent book THE NEST isn't out yet, but it was born of two things: my desire to return to what I love doing, which is writing, and my love of mysteries. My new series, COUNTRY CLUB CRIMES was not inspired by an actual murder at my club, but since most of us belong to some kind of club we know that in every group secrets abound, loyalties are often frayed and tempers do flare. Fun!

I go for a drive. Or a walk. Or do something, anything, that gives me some space. The blank page is scary and writer's block happens to everyone. I try to go with it and remember that this too shall pass.

Loving the story you've created and hoping that your readers share that opinion.

Just do it! Don't think about what you want to write, sit down and get it down on paper. Above all, enjoy!

I'm working on a mystery series called COUNTRY CLUB CRIMES. The first book, THE NEST will be out on Amazon soon. I'm almost finished with the second in the series, PREFERRED LIES.

I was always a storyteller, even as a little girl so translating that into writing novels felt quite natural.
