Currently I'm trying to make a cover for my Psychologique noir, and writing Book 3 of the Mystery Series - Beaufort's Landing. And formatting a book of my poetry.

Sometimes the block comes because you need it. You need the time out to let your mind rest and reset. Listen to yourself; take that break, deal with other things in your life. Then each day sit in front of your work and see what happens. If you feel its been going on too long, sit yourself down and start writing, doesn't matter what just type about how frustrated you feel, about how sick you are of demanding family, about how someone was rude to you at the store, or how kind someone has been. Just write it. The words will flow, your story will grow.

The escape...losing yourself in the telling, just as you lose yourself when reading, but this time the story is coming to and at you from inside. It is always a wonder to me when I complete a writing task. I did it. There are lots of mistakes and bad writing but I just did this amazing thing!

Depends on what I'm writing e.g. my poetry is mostly inspired by the beauty of nature around me, sometimes by current affairs, sometimes by people or places. My novels - mostly I day-dream them and write a more concrete story

Hi. Well, my latest is Book 3 of my mystery series, so first I need to tell you that the series was engendered by my love of crime mystery writing. On thinking about it I realised there weren't enough Australian based mysteries of the non-graphic, lighter kind so I wrote one based in my local community in tropical North Queensland. For the one I presently writing - I met a chap, an artist cycling around Australia. That is where the likeness ends as my character is his polar opposite.
