Everyone is different, but here are some things that work for me:
Find what sparks your creativity and use it. Whether that's candles, music, free writing, making mood boards, or whatever. You know what works for you. Don't be afraid to go all in with it.
For me, I need official deadlines, so I set them up with editors, designers, etc. This was how I knew I would actually complete the project and not just procrastinate until I die.
Also, especially for your first time publishing, soak up information like a sponge. Ask questions, read articles, join FB groups—anything that can help you learn the process. You're going to make mistakes, that's unavoidable and totally okay, but do your best not to jump in blindly.

I go for a drive and blast my WIP playlist, or I take a shower. For some reason, that's when my creativity sparks.
