Josephine Strand That’s a great question, Esosa! I do agonize over titles. I don’t believe a story should be written around a title or around the idea for a title just because it sounds catchy. I wanted my book’s title to be relevant to the story in a profound way. I settled on the final title for Misty Dreams after the last draft was complete. As you will discover, it has more than one meaning and incorporates a key element of the story. I hope you enjoy the book!

Josephine Strand The advice I would give to new and aspiring writers is, do your research, learn the craft. My first draft was a cliché-ridden, rambling 300,000+ words before I realized it wasn’t marketable. Don’t rush into things just for the sake of being published.
Josephine Strand It’s hard for me to be inspired to write when I have other stuff on my mind that requires priority, but I’ve learned not to agonize over it. Usually, reading a good book (preferably listening to a well-narrated audiobook) will produce that spark that will make my fingers itch to get to the keyboard.
