I was surrounded by people on the street, hundreds of them, but my internal community had suddenly gone silent. Had they gone into hiding... or were they dead?

Both. But I want to expand these two series first. I don't feel like these characters have said all they want to yet.

When I get blocked, I have one of my characters in the book get blocked as well. Then I write them out of the blocking situation. Self-referencing problem solved.

Well, for me, it's being able to wear cool knitted scarves at the coffee shop. And the chicks. But mostly the self expression and self exploration. And the fans are cool. It's like being a rock star in my own head. No, seriously, it's got to be the chicks (I wish some of them weren't just in my head). But back to the real world - the best thing is being a storyteller, a mythologist. The flow. I guess it's hard to describe.

Finish the damn book and publish it yourself! I see too many aspiring authors paralyzed by the "Traditional Publishing" pipedream and an inability to call the book done and let people read it. Finish the damn thing!

I'm currently working on Atomic Age Librarian. Although my books come in series, there are several series that need their stories told and the next book is not always the next in sequence for the previous. Alex and The Fluidians will continue but first we'll see something completely different.

First, I wake up in the morning. Then I start writing. I think living is my inspiration. My exploration of self.

The ideas for my books evolve as I write. I usually start with a first sentence that has to be written and the rest gets filled in for me. Often, that first sentence comes from a question that I'm asking myself at that moment and a "what if" start flowing from my search for an answer.
