Find your voice and use it. Don't be intimidated and don't try to sound like someone you aren't. Just write like you talk and you should be good. Secondly, don't write for the money but do write for the love of story telling. And remember editing is crucial. I can't tell you how many reviews book 2 has been through and the rewriting has to be done, sections you like may have to be chopped. Just keep at it.

As a career journalist focused on cybercrime and cybercrime prevention, I got the idea when attending a press meeting in the early 2000's at Sun Microsystems and Scott McNealy (co-founder) suggested he would chip his kids like he chips his dog if he could. I came up with all types of scenarios of how those chip implants could be abused and settled on a corporate entity that takes over the network, the chips, and the data centers used to authenticate users and grant access to their data.
