Raquel Plank The short answer is that I read. Often if I feel blocked creatively, I just have to pick up a new book and get out of my head for a bit. Getting out in nature can be a great help for writer's block as well. There are just so many experiences to take note of out in nature. One of those experiences is bound to be a spark of inspiration.
Raquel Plank Little Bitty Jellyfish was inspired by my two-year-old daughter. Her room is decorated in pastel underwater sea creatures and her favorite song is Itsy Bitsy Spider. After the hundredth time of singing about the spider, I decided to create a version about a Little Bitty Jellyfish. The words of the book coincide with the popular tune of Itsy Bitsy Spider and can be enjoyed as a book before bed. I don't mind reading this one over and over.
