For me, it is about being able to get all the thoughts and ideas which are rattling around in my head all day, every day, out of my brain and onto the page. Then moulding them into something which will entertain others.
When my first book, The Tower of Melgoth, started arriving in the hands of readers, the response I received was truly special. The comments I read, about children who wanted to read the book again and again, brought me such joy. That is the best thing about being a writer.

At the moment I am working on a few different books. Escape From Blackrock Island is Book 2 in the Adventure Quest series and I aim for that to be released early this summer. I am also writing a book about Fantasy Premier League and a children's story about a boy with super powers.

When I was a teenager I used to love interactive adventure books, but the ones I read were quite complex in that you needed a pen, paper and dice to play them properly. They were also quite gruesome and contained detailed death sequences if you took a wrong turn.
I wanted to create something which had the same sense of excitement - but was more age appropriate - for my six-year-old son and thus, The Tower of Melgoth was born.
