Hello Charlie Hedrick, Just wanted you to know, I so liked A Night Along the River that I selected it for my book club. As a neurologist, I couldn't help but wonder if Emma might be showing symptoms of narcolepsy, or were you characterizing her issues as post traumatic stress disorder?

I had not thought of Emma's experiences as related to narcolepsy, but it's a really interesting idea. I love that you read it that way and I could see how it'd fit into a few scenes.

Your other explanation is closer to what I envisioned, although I'm not sure I could fully put into words the cause of what she went through.
