The fictional character I would most be apt to be like would have to be Nancy Drew. My protagonist favors her to a tee. She is witty, intelligent, clever. determined and fun loving to be around.
I have always loved reading Nancy Drew books ever since I was young and couldn't wait to read her next book to see what trouble and adventures she would take on next.

I start The Curse of the Ruby Eyes, my first book from a previous book in which I completed but never published. I took parts of that one and added a different story line to make the Curse book. I will sometime add other information to make a new story from the original book. I started that first book The Rose Arbor back in 1998 and finished it in 2020. It seemed to lack something and didn't sound exciting enough to publish.
The first book was about a woman detective who time travels back to 1926 to try to stop her great-grandfather's murder and ends up becoming her great-grandmother in the process. Since I have used parts of this book in my present book The Curse of the Ruby Eyes, I will just change things add what is necessary to make it a new book. It is a good story line and want to publish it and hope to do so sometime in 2022.

My inspiration for writing came from traveling abroad at an early age due to my dad being in the air force and moving to Greece for 3 years and saw many historical and mythological sites and places around Greece and I visited Germany. I also attended college and majored in History and minored in Anthropology and Archeology. Where I was further introduced to mythology, and French and Chinese, and Latin cultures and history.
Additionally, I have always loved to write since I was 15 years old.

I am still a new author myself and find that the best thing to do in writing especially new authors is persistence. A lot of persistence and determination.
Even though you feel like giving up and thinking you can't write, that is when you continue to write for yourself if nothing else. Tell yourself that you can do it.

You can write about things that are fantasy related and take a break from the reality world and society stresses.

I get it quite often and I find it helpful to walk away from writing for a couple of days and put your mind on something else. Then when you approach your writing again you have a restored mind to think about what you want to say next and continue writing.

As I slowly reached the edge of the broken wall in the dark spiderwebbed basement below, I heard the snapping before I made my first step inside the room.
I took a chance and walked into the room, and suddenly the large claws came down over my head, and within minutes, the half-man, half-crawfish creature sucked in the rest of my body.

The time I traveled to Greece and visited the labyrinths on the Island of Crete. In Greek mythology, it was built by the legendary King Minos of at Knossos to hold the famous mythological monster Minotaur, which was half man-half bull. He lived and guarded the labyrinths and killed anyone who entered the labyrinths.
