Wow okay big question. Probably my secondary school experiences. A lot of stuff have happened to me over my past few years of experience - most of which find their way into my poetry. Sounds like an angsty, coming-of-age story that would never be on booktok. :')

Inspiration can come from anywhere but in my case my main inspiration is probably music, and real life experiences of either myself or others.

My inspiration for this book was very sudden. I had known that I wanted to publish a poetry collection for a very long time but the concept of a poetry book is much harder. In my opinion, the best poetry books are the ones with a consistent theme and in my case, my theme is exploring emotions. It had randomly occurred to me on a video call with a friend and I just kind of went "..what if it was about different emotions?". Then the thought grew from there.
