Omni Thenerva Silent night, in the bathroom, I look behind me, nobody there
I look into the mirror, no one's there.
Omni Thenerva It will be a bit cringe or corny, but I would travel to any cultivation world from Chinese Light novels.
There, I would hide myself as well as I could and cultivate trying to achieve true immortality.
After achieving it, I would travel the multi-verse and collect books and stories. (hopefully, completely avoiding conflicts and turmoil)
Omni Thenerva I either go, and write a different story, which already has its outline down, or jot down, countless, random ideas.
That is, when I am in "writing mood", if not, then I usually devour, entertainment products/services. (books, games, series, shows, movies), this process of devouring, often breaks down, the dam, that is the writer's block.
At least, again, this is how, I personally, deal with it.
Omni Thenerva Can't say it's an advice, because I am, myself, still an aspiring writer, but as an opinion, I would say: write, and read a lot, while never giving up.
Anxiety will knock on your door 24/7, "what if it's not good enough" , "what if this kind of story already exists", "what if..." .
I won't say "ignore them" because you can't, but think of these worries, as simple trials, and what do trials mean? That we are on a quest? And who are on quests? Heroes.
We all are heroes, on our own story, so as a hero, we shouldn't be giving up easily.
At least, that's how I am thinking, and this is how, I managed to convince myself, to self-publish my book on Amazon.
Omni Thenerva Side-stories that complement Realm Wandering Bookworm's Log: First Step, A Planet, and on the sketch for the 2nd book from the series.
(while, also, maybe a bit, indulging myself, in developing some other ideas)
Omni Thenerva By reading, and thinking a lot.
No shortcut to this, I love reading, and my mind is in overdrive constantly, on how, why, what, kind of questions regarding the stories I read.
And sometimes, a little lightbulb goes off, saying: ”back, back, back, that idea, 500 ideas ago, could actually be turned into something”
And I start sketching the outlines, sometimes, I end up with nothing, or with a short-story, or with a proper book, depends on my luck.
Omni Thenerva I got my idea, when reading fantasy works, especially Chinese cultivation light novels, I have been thinking, about my own spin to the well-known trope, so here we are, with 1 book written.
