This question intrigues me. Narnia was one of my first literary loves. I always wished for a closet with a secret door to another world. And lately, if I could travel through books, it would be to a fictional world. I would love to visit the Shire in Tolkien's Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I'd also love to go to Jacqueline Carey's world of the Kushiel Series books. Her character Phedre no Delaunay was largely an inspiration for my character Wilhelmina Green.
