Defining the true purpose of this life, what am I here to learn for the evolution of my soul?

I very much take inspiration from nature and the life I see around me. I have an inquisitive mind and I like to understand my own thoughts and feelings on a given topic.

My book Chasing Rainbows – the Stolen Future of Caroline Ann Stuttle was 19 years in the making. My sister Caroline was murdered in Australia in 2002, we created our charity, Caroline’s Rainbow Foundation in her memory. The book journeys through our pathway developing the charity and focusing on travel safety for backpackers and travellers. I included day to day accounts of my travels to Australia, visiting places Caroline never got so see and attending the trial for her murder. It also delves into bereavement and dealing with long term grief. Although the book starts with the death of my sister, I believe it to be a positive read of how ordinary people can help others and deal with life after great loss.

Write when you are inspired, no matter what the time or place. Be shellfish when these moments arrive. Get into a habit of writing every day and have the discipline to read, reread and delete.

I enjoy the freedom to create something from my imagination. Although my book Chasing Rainbows – the Stolen Future of Caroline Ann Stuttle was a personal real-life journey I enjoyed setting the scene and describing my experiences to help the reader feel like they understood my thoughts and feelings.

My second book takes three major principles that are mentioned in the first book and applies them to different aspects of life, personal and professional development. Ultimately, the book takes the reader through various stages of life and the realisations along the way for people find and follow their soul’s purpose.

I work on multiple sections of a book at any one time. If I don’t feel inspired to write about one part, I turn my attention to another chapter. I write very much with feeling and inspiration. An idea must first process in my mind before I sit down to write. I also think it’s OK to take a day off, it’s OK to write something completely unrelated to the primary project I am working on. A walk out in nature or conversation with friends can often help to resolve writer’s block.
