Figure out what happened to my grandfather's first wife, who he married in Europe in 1911, they both immigrated to the US, and at some point between 1915 and 1918, she disappeared. In 1918, my grandfather married my grandmother. No trace of his first wife despite scouring scrods for years.
His brother had disappeared after shooting his boss in 1898 for having an affair with his wife. In 2019 it was discovered that after he disappeared, he moved in the town next to his brother in an adjacent state and lived anonymously for the next 30 years.
