Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

David Collins Around 5 or 6 years ago (2014 or 2015), there was a BBC documentary on the woolly mammoth that outlined a theory I had never heard before, that it might have survived far longer than previously believed. Professor Alice Roberts presented the documentary. It just completely blew my mind to consider that these majestic creatures could have continued existing all of this time... and we didn't know. The book flowed out of my musings on the question of "What if?" and my fascination with the early 20th century as a time period.
