David A. Freas Off the top of my head, I can't think of any. I may have to get back to you if one comes to mind.
David A. Freas I don't so much get inspired to write as react to ideas. When one comes to mind I write it then see if I can integrate it into the book I'm working on.
David A. Freas Sorry, no. Horror is not in my wheelhouse because I can't buy into any of the premises that form the basis of horror stories.
David A. Freas Probably the Boston depicted in Robert B. Parker's Spenser series. I really love Parker's writing style and I would love to 'absorb' the interplay between him and Hawk and the other characters.
David A. Freas I don't have a 'summer' reading list, just the unread books in my bookcase, and I read them as they come up.
David A. Freas I don't 'push' it. When I have writer's block, it's usually because I haven't sorted the scene out mentally. Once that's done, it's like a door in my head opens and the words just come rushing out.
David A. Freas For me, the friends I have made along the way. They have improved my writing with their wise counsel and enriched my life in so many ways.

David A. Freas I'm writing a synopsis for a book I wrote 15 years ago after digging it out and updating it.
David A. Freas I've always been a 'car guy,' so my main character always is somehow involved with cars.
The idea for this book came from talking to and watching a body man doing repair on several cars I've owned, I just 'amped' him up to a guy who does high end restorations on cars from the 50s, 60s, and early 70s.
