The Lord of Rings by Tolkien has a world that enchanted me as a teen. I know the real set is in New Zealand, but where is Mordor?

I'm looking at a few classics I have always meant to read, but never did in college. The works of Gustave Flaubert (Madame Bovary) come to mind for starters.

I began life with plenty of mysterious events! LOL. One in particular which I wrote a screenplay about called "From Within Me" involves the mysterious death of my own father. He was haunted by a creature which I can best describe as a mothman in appearance.
For several months it appeared at the large window in his study by nightfall. He felt it could read his mind and steal his soul. Yes, the script is still out there and I may just write a novel based on it.

The process of writing itself is what is best for me. The narrative, getting to know the people enough so I can project their character on the page, creating the atmosphere and the emotion that drives the plot as faithfully as I can to the original source.

I'm pretty new as an author, so I am still searching for answers myself. However, my best advice is this: Write what you know best about. What moves you, what absorbs you and at the end of the day, do you still keep thinking about the plot? If so, you're on the right track.

I have a few in progress right now. I am writing a memoir with another author about his own unique experiences as a UFO investigator.
I also have my first fiction novel which is inspired by an Italian family I met while traveling in Salerno, Italy about their home in World War Two. It's a ghost story with a unique twist.

I traveled a lot all over the world first as a vacationer, then as a photographer. I eventually became involved in the Mutual UFO Network as an investigator myself back in 2008 when the UFO flap was on.
I began as a screenwriter, writing all the stories I gathered during investigations for film. Then I met a publisher who encouraged me to write nonfiction books after I adapted a few of his books for film.
I had harvested so many odd and bizarre accounts from people I've met overseas and locally here in the States that I just had to share them all. That impetus was all I needed.

Unholy Structure is based on an actual case file of a paranormal investigator, John Curley who is in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He and his team have been referred to this case since quite a few owners of the building have sold it in frustration.
