Justin Alexander Alt Michael Sorenson is exiled by his own consciousness, forced across dimensions, and desperate to right the wrongs he committed.

I cheated twice there. First, it's only one sentence, but I felt that it had enough past participial phrases that I didn't want to torture the reader with a second sentence. Second, that's the blurb of my book "Migration" which, though not technically a horror story, would be a pretty horrific situation to be in if it happened to me. I'm glad it happened to Michael instead.
Justin Alexander Alt I'm definitely excited to dive into James A Corey's series starting with "Leviathan's Wake". I also loved Blake Crouch's Recursion, so I want to read his prior book, "Dark Matter." Every summer I try to read at least one Murakami, so this year it's "A Wild Sheep Chase." I'm also in several book clubs and will read all the books for those with pleasure because I love the discussions that result.
Justin Alexander Alt I would enroll at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry today if an owl should happen to drop of a letter at my house. By seriously, I don't think I've ever loved a fictional world more than the one Rowling created.

The fictional world that best captures reality for me is, ironically, the worlds of Haruki Murakami. The way he blends fantastical elements with the mundanity of daily life always resonates with me. As a result, I try to read at least one of his books every summer, to bring me back to the places he has created.
Justin Alexander Alt All of the Unending Earths series started with a quandary that occurred to me a few years ago: humans can end death by migrating our consciousness onto the cloud. However, that doesn't actually solve death for the mind still existing in the body: that mind and body would still like to go on living. This concept is where Michael's plight started and the whole universe began.
Justin Alexander Alt I have been writing since before I remember. My parents tell stories about the books I wrote and illustrated myself. They were and are both big readers themselves, so I'm sure they are a big reason that I love to read and write so much.
Justin Alexander Alt I am a big fan of writing by dictation on long walks. So I never have the blank page problem, but instead more like radio silence. But I can usually compel myself to get back into the flow and continue to produce words.

And sometimes I don't, and I don't get any words out in a session or even an entire day. And that's ok. There's always tomorrow.
Justin Alexander Alt I love getting to create a new world. It feels almost like discovering the world for myself, as though it already exists in a complete form somewhere out there and I'm just finding a way to capture it and bring it to readers.
Justin Alexander Alt Write every day. Read several times each day. Build those habits early and sustain them, and you can reach any production goals you set for yourself.
Justin Alexander Alt I'm working ahead on the Unending Earths series so that I can continue publishing one book or boxed set per month until the first twelve books are released.
