Stacy Jane Spending so much time daydreaming.
Stacy Jane The idea for Rain in the Wastelands first sparked when I was playing Borderlands for the first time. Playing as Lilith, when I'd happen across the Bruiser characters and we'd start shooting each other in the face, I'd be yelling out, "No! Bruiser! How could you?! We had something so beautiful!" You know, normal gamer stuff. 🤷‍♀️ Then when Borderlands 2 came along, you had the Maya and Krieg ship sailing strong, which if you don't know, involves similar characters as Lilith and Bruiser. Playing with those two characters in a co-op campaign turned that spark of an idea into an inferno. I had no clue where the story was going to go, but man has it been a blast going along for the ride.
Stacy Jane I find that either a reread of the previous chapter, entire book, or even previous books if its in a series can help substantially. You may even find aspects of your story you've forgotten about! Or rediscover seeds you planted earlier on.
Stacy Jane An 'aspiring' writer is just someone not brave enough to slice open their soul. So write! Write all the words!
