Torn MacAlester I intend to finish H. Beam Piper's Space Viking. Later I will read Arthur Clarke's Rendevous with Rama. I hope to read at least new authors as well.
Torn MacAlester I am currently writing the sequel to Thunder Moon Tussle called Mask of the Joyful Moon.
Torn MacAlester Three things inspire me:
1) Science and Technology articles (science papers)
2) My childhood background
3) Movies (especially the bad ones)

Science and technology is of course the background material for science fiction. As a child, Apollo was happening, and it inspired me for life. Lastly, bad movies seem to inspire me to do it better.
Torn MacAlester I do some writing. Even if its inconsequential, it seems to help. I put an effort to do 4 sentences for the day, often that turns into something more. Other times, it is all I can do. At least it is not zero sentences.
Torn MacAlester Actually, "Thunder Moon Tussle" turned into a prequel for another novel that I am writing called "Mask of the Joyful Moon". I realized that to tell the story I needed to introduce the characters Nils Carmike and Deputy Miller. My inspiration was provided by recent developments in commercial space flight, and the flights of Apollo all those years ago.
