Hi! I absolutely loved your book Nightsong! How did you come up with the world? I've read so many fantasy books and this one is by far my favorite! The world is so detailed, Sabyr is one of my favorite main characters ever, and I can't wait for the next book (also wondering when/if the next one will come out)!

Vella Wolf I am hoping to have the next book out by mid next year. It'll just depend on how busy I am with my other work :) Funny enough, world-building is one of my favourite parts. Once a new idea for a story, I see if it fits into any of my currently built worlds (I have quite a few!) If it doesn't fit and needs its own, I start by building all my main characters, who are they? What do they look like? What sort of place are they from and how did it shape them? From there I build the world branching from them. What elements are there? Are there gods? What kind of magic if any? How many races are there and how do they fit into this world? I spend a lot of time drawing maps, characters etc. until it all fits :)
