If I am in the middle of writing and suddenly hit a stumbling block, I like to pause and play free rice for about 10-15 minutes. It helps me access more of my vocabulary and find the words I need to break through. When I find I am really struggling with my stories I turn to doing art and photography to help me engage the visual and non-verbal part of my brain.
