If I don't feel like writing, I work on some other aspect of being an author. Social media, for example. There is always something else to do until I am in the mood to write again.

I get to weave exciting stories around the experiences that I have had. I love being able to spend time in places that I love, if only in my head.

(view spoiler)[There were a few things that inspired Northern Escape. The first was the desire to talk about domestic abuse and how difficult it can be to get out of those situations. I have also seen the impact that a drug overdose can have on a family and wanted to warn others of the danger. Finally, I wanted to go on a canoe-camping artist's retreat with a friend, but since my children were young, I decided to write about it instead. (hide spoiler)]
