When it's happening. When you have actually written words, maybe even three or four thousand words a day and the book is pretty much writing itself and you have more of those days. The rest is like the tamest level of hell. But hey, once upon a while, it doesn't suck!

Wait it out. As I am not depending on making my books profitable, I can afford to wait as long as I need. Either I finally get into a "writing mood" or I'll finally figure out what to do next. But sometimes, just opening the book (document) helps.

I see way too much inspiration all around me but not every idea can bloom into a full-fledged and recognizing those can be really hard. It's probably why I have much more of what I call seeds than I have of actual stories =D.
