Everly Folle I'd probably travel to Ravka (if I were guaranteed Corporalki powers) and spend a few weeks in the Little Palace (I know it's not the best place, but it sounded cool in the beginning...)
Everly Folle She opened the door. That's when it took her.
Everly Folle Honestly, whatever I can get my hands on. A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, perhaps, The Odyssey by Homer, and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.

As of right now, however, I'm rereading the Shadow and Bone trilogy (then I might read the Six of Crows duology).
Everly Folle This is a really difficult question for me to answer, since when I'm writing my own novels, once I have a chapter outline, I'm totally immersed in the story. When it comes to writer's block with something I haven't totally planned out yet, though, I guess what I do is start listing whatever comes to mind. If you read Grace's post about writer's block, you'll see she mentioned our "crazy idea" game. Just list everything and anything, no matter how improbable. Chances are, you'll come across something that works. (I know that killer clowns doesn't work, but that's always my first crazy idea.)
Everly Folle We all get stressed, whether it's from studying, working, relationships, or other causes, but when you open a book and start reading, you're taken to a whole new world. A different setting, different characters, different relationships. It gives you the chance to take a break and immerse yourself in the writing and dialogue. When you are a writer, you create your own world to get lost in. If you want a world in which technology doesn't exist, you can have it. If you want a world in which you get to experience the life of someone two hundred years ago, you can write it! All you have to do is imagine.
Everly Folle Just do it. You don't have to give up your other dreams to be a writer. For example, while I am an author and I do plan to write more books, I still study so that I can one day earn my degree.

When it comes to the actual story, however, I know how difficult it is to start up a new idea. Sometimes you know what you want to include, but you just can't put it together into a plot. I like to bullet point the elements I'd like to include in my story (ex. crown, throne, nobility, royalty, familial tension, friendship, romance) and then I start piecing it together. Don't be discouraged if you scrap a few plots. It's only natural to do so. You'll know when it's right.

Once you come up with your basic idea for the story (it could just be a one-sentence summary) you can start picking it apart into chapters.

Good luck!
Everly Folle Grace and I are working on a possible sequel to Crooked Throne, but I also have planned a few other books of different genres. If I do decide to go down those paths, I will be sure to release information!
Everly Folle I guess that my real inspiration is thinking about the satisfaction I'll receive when my book is published. The more I write, the closer I get to publication. After I finish all of my other work, I head straight to writing, and then once I'm "in the zone", there's really no taking me out of it. I could write and write for hours (if there wasn't such a thing as sleep, of course).
Everly Folle This is a really funny question, actually. After realizing that writing a debut novel is actually quite hard, we decided that the easiest path would be a fairytale retelling. After all, the basic plotline is already there. Grace and I started out with the plan for the retelling in mind; however, after realizing that our plot strayed too far from the original story, we decided to modify it into our own story. Of course, we then went through revisions, scrapping the plot and restarting it from a different character's point of view. In the end, we were left with Crooked Throne, and we could not be more proud.
