Wren Murphy My family history! My grandfather's parents were a mystery for the longest time, but I finally figured out who they were after searching relentlessly for over 7 years. But the weird part is they just disappear after a certain period in time and I have no idea where they ended up.
Wren Murphy Music. Its as simple as that. My characters each have their own preferences of music, which makes my own personal tastes a little eclectic. (Side note: I always love new music so feel free to suggest new artists!) I get inspired by the songs I hear on the radio, especially the ones that repeat in my head all day long!
Wren Murphy KRYNN!!!

I am obsessed with Dragonlance. If I could live in that world, I would LOVE it. I think the first thing I would do is find myself a dragon!
Wren Murphy Getting to experience a thousand adventures in a thousand lives.

Real life can be kind of boring sometimes, but the imagination is limitless. My characters become some of my best friends, and sometimes, I know them better than I know myself. I love "watching" the story unfold in my mind like a movie, and I think that is the best part. The scenes are so vivid they sometimes take my breath away and I can only hope I do them justice by putting them onto paper.
Wren Murphy Take the leap and do it!

I've been writing since I was eighteen and I regret not jumping into noveling sooner. It has been one of the most rewarding AND challenging experiences of my life, and I think that's saying something because I am a pharmacist and grad school was no vacation either. You will doubt yourself and ask yourself if it is worth it a thousand times, but you have to remember that your stories are written for you, first and foremost, and for others second. There will be bad reviews, good reviews, mediocre reviews, reviews that make you want to hide under your bed forever and those that make you want to scream with joy because finally, there is someone who loves your story as much as you do. It is all part of the process. You and your words matter. Don't hide your story - tell it!

Wren Murphy I just submitted a prequel to a series I'll be publishing with my friend Becky James next year. I've fondly dubbed it "Sexy Fae", but it's about the Cu Sidhe and the Cat Sidhe, two types of Celtic Fae. I've run with the lore and we morphed it into our own while keeping some of the original bits in tact.

Currently, Book #2 of the Crown of Olmalis series is sitting on my WIP shelf. Titled "The Seer Princess", I hope to have this draft finished within the next month or two so everyone can revisit Princess Sarra and find out what the heck happens after the end of The Serpent Lord.
Wren Murphy The Serpent Lord started out as an online forum roleplay between one of my best friends and I. After we finished the story, I decided I loved it too much to let it end there and rewrote the entire thing into a novel. It has now blossomed into a 4 book series called The Crown of Olmalis.

Initially, this story was supposed to be an impossible romance, one that didn't have a happy ending. However, I've never been one to back down from a challenge, and falling in love with Princess Sarra's story has been the greatest adventure I've ever taken.
