Nithila Shankar I'm currently working on two novels, both are related. The first one, Through the Veil centers on a 14-year-old girl called Shri from Chennai who goes into a coma and discovers a whole new world hidden from the world of the living and that she's the only one who can maintain the balance between the world of the living and those of the dead. The second, Enigma, is about a young girl, Annika Markov, a young Russian girl who is friends with Shri that wakes from her coma and grapples with the secrets her family keeps. Can she maintain her relationship with her aunt when she finds out what she's hiding?
Nithila Shankar The Mystery of the Missing Ink Pens. When I was in 6th std, someone kept taking my pens. I never found out who took them tho
Nithila Shankar Hi Saina! Nice to meet you! I discovered my passion in 4th std, when my Class Teacher gave us a writing prompt, and pinned my poem to the wall. I stopped writing in 5th due to personal problems . I started again in 6th when my mother asked me to and I've been writing ever since. My inspiration is... well, a lot of people. But the top three would be Sarojini Naidu, Rabindranath Tagore and Lisa Mcmann.
Bye,
Nithila
Nithila Shankar Thanks for asking!! Yes I am working on a new novel! I can't wait till you read it!! I am collaborating with my little sis for it.
Nithila Shankar No. Is that a friend of yours, or a character in a book? The only Elizabeth I know is Elizabeth Ramakrishnan from my 7th grade class. Thanks for asking though😊
Nithila Shankar I really can't answer that question because I'M still an aspiring writer. I'll answer that question again when I'm professional;)
Nithila Shankar It's going to be a collection of short stories. I am going to start working on an actual novel as well!!! I already have a sort of plot circling in my mind!
Nithila Shankar Six months I guess, Sahan.
Nithila Shankar Falling, falling, falling, into inky blackness, as spasms of pain rack my body. As my worst nightmares flash before my very eyes, torturing me, making watch as blood, gore monsters kill me and my family, and my friends, over and over, till the end of time, I scream myself hoarse, till all that is left outside the horrible noises of nightmares, is silence, for eternity
Nithila Shankar Thank you Sahana! That means a lot to me!
Nithila Shankar I sometimes listen to music, and sometimes in monsoon, just going outside after it rains is inspiring. Before lockdown, though found cycling was very effective. But for the times where I couldn't write for days on end, I just ask my sister, or one of my cousins or friends for ideas.
Nithila Shankar Can't you just ask me in person? You're both my sister and my publisher (and editor). But if you want me to say it on Goodreads, then probably 6 months or so I guess? We do have school 6 days a week. I might be able to work more on it tomorrow, because of school taking a break for Bakrid
