The beer most often served at rear areas was American, Fallstaff,Schlitz ,or Budweiser which we thought was preserved with formaldehyde because of the horrible hangover. We got beer rations when in rear secure areas, if the NCO’s and Officers didn’t drink it first. Sometimes out in the field near villages we would buy beer from kids in a brown bottle with a yellow Tiger on the label we called “Tiger Piss”. ✌️Greg

I take a break, but keep a notepad handy. When you’re in Writing mode all you can focus on is your project. One tool I use is looking at my shoes. Where did I buy them? Why do I like them? Then go for a walk & breathe; new ideas will flow. Sit on a bench (with notepad).

My inspiration was writing as a healing tool. I needed to tell my story, but had to overcome the challenge of very poor English skills. I actually returned to Junior College English classes at sixty five years old, for help.
