Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Kate Sumers The most recent book, I am writing the idea came in the middle of the night. It's a side character to the last finished rough draft and it was never supposed to go on. But those two chatter bodies didn't stop and so I had to just go with it and write.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Kate Sumers Writer's block is hard and really frustrating. Stepping away from it, charging your batteries, and doing some self-care is the most important. I tend to just read, do arts and crafts, bake or just go outside in nature and spend time with the family.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Kate Sumers Don't stop even if you feel like you writing nothing but nonsense. BELIEVE in yourself. A first draft or a rough draft is always just that. There is lots more editing, rewriting before the final.
