Almost any situation can be imagined into a scene from a great novel or a movie. When I write, I think in terms of movie scenes--some are short, some are long, some are powerful, but I can see the action and characters in my mind's eye as the plot develops.

I'm working on the second in the Fletcher Strand series. "Winter's Dead" just came out with Strand, his partner, Joe Bentsen, their boss in the Pennsylvania State Police, Lt. Walter Montgomery, and Foreston Chief of Police, Georgie Hallon having prime roles. All four of these characters reappear in the next novel, "Murder Down Deep," out early in 2023.
