Whispers in the Thread was inspired by my work as an artist. I was approaching 15 years on a series of textiles based on the tradition of woven garments known as the huipil. Huipil is the Nahuatl name for a dress or blouse in Mexico and Guatemala, and its influence in my art needed to be talked about. This came in the form of poetry, legends and stories, along with photos of the art.
