I have worked in mental health for many years and qualified as a psychotherapist. it has often struck me how common the belief is that to admit to mental health problems is a sign of weakness. I wanted to write something with a central character who believed this and show how it impacted their life.

I would like to be in Monte Carlo when Maxim de Winter is ambushed by Mrs van Hopper and meets the woman who will be the new Mrs de Winter. I would just observe the scene while I sipped a glass of champagne.
