I learned early on that staring at a blinking computer cursor is not going to make the words flow. When I'm faced with a bit of writer's block, I get out of my office. I walk or run. I garden. I clean the bathroom. I bake cookies or sew something. Giving my brain time to refresh and refocus is the key for me.
