What was the inspiration behind your extraordinary book The Lighthouse?

Christopher Parker Thanks for the question Lori! The initial basic premise was to write a story about a father & daughter who visit a small town, but while walking on the beach one day I saw a lighthouse in the distance and that's when the idea came to give this fictional town some character & history. My imagination sparked into life at that point - one thing led to another and it didn't take long to develop the mystery and center the plot around the town's mysterious lighthouse.

Congratulations on writing the Lighthouse, How long did it take to write and did you suffer writers block? I am creating a blog and this will definitely be on there with a good review.

Christopher Parker Thanks for your question. As this was my first novel and I was still learning the craft, The Lighthouse took a long time to complete - nearly nine years! There was plenty of writer's block, but the more you encounter it the better you get at overcoming it. Hopefully the next novel won't take nearly as long!
