My next book, #VanChurch: Spiritual Lessons from Life on the Road, is a joint effort with my husband Jim Hall. The true story of how a married couple packed up a tiny cargo van with a bed and camping gear and hit the road. Traveling and camping in the van across 19 states and one international border, we found adventure, challenge, and much, much more. #VanChurch is the story of two travelers, two dogs, one tiny van, and a spiritual journey. Each road, state and campsite held new lessons on history, geography, and faith -- lessons which transformed us and our spiritual lives.

As a pastor, I have written many sermons and newsletter articles, and as a student and researcher, more papers and research reviews than I can begin to count. Each time, I get inspired when something stands out to me both as something I need or want to know about and as something that could help others. When those two intersect, that is the sweet spot!

I noticed that the changes changed me and others in profound ways, but we didn't talk about that transformation and so couldn't build on it going forward.
