Hey Stephanie! I just finished Scales and Sensibility and it was awesome! I was wondering, if you lived in the setting of the book, would you have a pet dragon? If so, what color/s would it be?
Stephanie Burgis What a fun question! And you will be unsurprised to hear that I have thought about it a lot. ;)

My pet dragon would be mostly a light, bright blue but with streaks of purple and darker blue across her scales. How about yours?

Stephanie Burgis You can read any of the books from the trilogy as a standalone story, but you'll probably get even more out of it if you watch the characters develop across the trilogy!

Stephanie Burgis This is such a hard question! I don't think I could choose my top 10 ever, but here are 10 books/series I love, off the top of my head: Jenn Reese's A Game of Fox and Squirrels and also her Above World trilogy, Maria Kuzniar's The Ship of Shadows, Sophie Kirtley's The Wild Way Home, Sayantani DasGupta's Kiranmala and the Kingdom Beyond trilogy, Hilary McKay's The Time of Green Magic, Sangu Mandanna's Kiki Kallira Breaks a Kingdom, Marti Dumas's Jupiter Storm series, and Zetta Elliott's Dragons in a Bag series.

Stephanie Burgis I am so glad you enjoyed it! I've always loved both dragons and chocolate (I make hot chocolate ALL the time!), so it only made sense to put them together. There are 3 full-length books in the series, all of which are out now! And my favorite form of chocolate is 70% dark chocolate. :)

Stephanie Burgis Ahhh, what a difficult (but good) question! My all-time favorite is *probably* still my first-ever dragon, Smaug, who made me fall in love-and-terror of dragons in the first place. But I also really adore Temeraire from Naomi Novik's books and Toothless from Cressida Cowell's books and Hank from Jerdine Nolen's Raising Dragons and, and, and...

Basically, I really love reading about dragons. :)
