Writer’s block is real. I took on creative writing course in college, and my teacher gave us the best advice. “Write a little everyday, even if you don’t know what you want to say yet. Let it take shape on the way or shape it after you write it down.” She was right. I’ve had days where I write material that is pretty rough, but that’s why I edit my own works several times before submitting them.

I’ve always had very vivid dreams that I can remember after I’ve woken up. Sometimes a dream will give me a good idea, and I’ll play it in my head like a movie, figuring out all the different and possible conclusions. This is how Dreamwalkers started. I had a dream in the summer of 2010 that gave me the idea.

The girl settled into her warm bubble bath with the final draft of her novel, happy to be soaking away her worries while also finishing up her edits. She reached for her wine glass and accidentally knocked her book with into the steaming waters….(based on a true story)

Easy! I’d go to Middle Earth. I’d ride horses through Rohan, train with swords with Boromir, learn elvish from Aragorn, and lounge around Rivendell. Maybe have a pint with Merry and Pippin before having a singing contest. 🙂
