V.C. Williams I'm revising my first book for republication, editing my contemporary cozy mystery, and working on my Young Adult time-slip historical novel. I'm also working on a short story about my husband's hike through North Africa and Europe when he was a teenager back in 1970. Besides writing, I'm also marketing my newest book, A New York Lady in Helldorado.
V.C. Williams My nightmare came true. Most intelligent life had disappeared, replaced by soul-sucking morons who think they're smart.
V.C. Williams I would like to visit the world of the Gilded Age in New York and Newport, the world inhabited by the Vanderbilts, the Astors, and the author Edith Wharton. I would love to walk in their shoes, taking walks and drives in the parks, partaking in afternoon tea and stimulating conversation. But I'd probably want to leave after a while.
V.C. Williams I was on a lengthy cruise a couple of years ago and wondered about the number of people dying on board. We were testing for COVID daily and I wondered how many of those who were quarantined died or had to leave the ship?
V.C. Williams I don't have a Summer reading list. I have a stack of books I'm trying to work through all the time. I'm writing a Young Adult novel so I'm reading books in that genre. I just finished The Brightwood Code by Monica Hesse. It was very good.
V.C. Williams Read books! Any kind will do. Drop into a world within the pages and discover your inspiration. It works!
V.C. Williams I work alone! Some may not like that, but it's fun to be in my fictional world without the distractions of telephones and people in and out of my space. I can set my own time, work when I choose and do what I love!
V.C. Williams Be prepared to grow some thick skin and stay strong. Believe in your writing skill, but don't be afraid to admit you still have something to learn.
V.C. Williams I am inspired by everyday events around me and the books I read. The more I read, the more I want to write.
V.C. Williams I was researching for my first book when I ran across a Wikipedia about Sarah Herring Sorin. I was so intrigued I began to research as much as I could find about her. I decided I had to write the story of this brilliant, forgotten woman.
