my mother was a writer and I took many writing classes while at the University of Michigan. My original interest after I became a professional actress was in screenplays. This is my first novel.

This is story based on true events and deals with very personal challenges between a young Jewish couple during the military buildup in WW2. It is a family tale that I had heard all my life and was originally written and optioned as a screenplay in late 90s before I decided to novelize it - to speak more specifically to the anti=Semitism, racism, and war time issues of that very turbulent time.
