I sit with the feeling. Instead of forcing myself to write or scrutinizing my block and thus, allowing it to spiral down, I just sit the feeling and move on. It sounds silly but it gives me permission to “fail” and take a break without criticizing myself or my creativity. Once I feel inspired or have an idea, I put it on words and let the rest come to me. It’s worked this far!

Having majored in Sociology, one of my favorite things is to people-watch. I love observing behaviors, analyzing interactions, and empathizing with different situations. Usually, in wondering about strangers’ lives, I come up with a new idea.

After hearing about a girl who had lost her older brother to an accident, I wondered what it would feel like to lose my fake twin (my two year younger brother with whom I have the most amazing relationship). Suddenly, my mind was overflowing with ideas and my fingers could not stop typing.
