J.S. Farmer I listen to music that somehow relates or connects me to my story. While writing Blue Sky Gone, I listened relentlessly to Sounds of Silence by Disturbed. It's such a haunting and emotional version of the song, and it brought me to a place of pain and anguish which then allowed me to write with those same emotions.
J.S. Farmer Being able to tell a story that evokes deep emotion from the reader. Prior to becoming an author, I never wanted to make anyone cry. As an author, that is the goal. It means the reader has connected with the characters, the story, and the events of the book. That is my job as the author. To give a beautifully written story to those who have picked up my book to read.
