Bancroft As I plot everything beforehand, down to the individual scenes I can write the scene I feel inspired to write on a particular day, depending on my mood or what I've had for breakfast or what needs to be done. If I don't feel inspired to write a scene it's probably because it is not engaging enough, so I work through what would make it more engaging.
E.V. Bancroft Being able to live with my characters for months on end and discover what they think about different events.
E.V. Bancroft It's often a situation, but I'll twist it to suit what I write, which is romance. I guess if I wrote murder mysteries I'd transform the situation into something more gritty and unpleasant. The initial situation for my debut novel Warm Pearls and Paper Cranes was when I discovered an aunt wished to be buried with her long term companion. They weren't romantically involved but it got me thinking, what if?
