My personal writer's block takes the form of going over the same material I have previously written and constantly tweaking it, changing a word here or there, and otherwise prematurely editing the work during a phase of the writing process when I should NOT be editing. Just do it! And then, once you're done, don't ask the world permission to publish your book; self-publish. But, first, consume everything you can about the process. Websites, podcasts, and books abound. Be careful that they don't take you for all you're worth, because there is money to be made from aspiring self-publishers.
Final bit of advice: you're (almost definitely) not going to make it big. You'll actually be lucky to turn any profit at all. Level-set your expectations and do it for the love of the craft and the growth you will experience during the process.

I've always had a penchant for writing, so writing a novel came fairly easily to me. Inspiration for characters, plot twists, and scene situations come to me as daydreams.

It all started many years ago from the idea that our very identity is, at its core, nothing more than a narrative. This branched off into the idea of re-assembling a fractured mind via replayed experiences. Finally, as I toyed with these ideas to write my first novel, I took the "write what you know" approach and shamelessly based the six POV characters of the novel on my wife, my daughters, and myself.
