Is this even a fair question? MIDDLE EARTH!
That way I can live in a Hobbit hole, wear cilantro as cologne, and fight Orcs. No, wait, changing my answer to Hogwarts so I can find out whether I'm a Muggle, a Squib or a Wizard...NOPE, hang on...changing my answer again to the urban fantasy world of The Darkest Minds, because I'm pretty sure I'm a Blue or a Red....
This is actually one of the hardest questions I've been asked this week.

Sometimes I push through, sometimes I step away and do something very different. Exercise and nature are great ways to get out and reset. Easier said than done if you live in the city, but where I am, I am fortunately able to do that.

The best thing about being a fiction writer is the fact that I can make up whatever I want, no matter how crazy, and nobody can fact check me! Non-fiction would be a much different story, of course. But no matter how crappy any given day in my real life is, in the worlds I've created, I can escape and dwell there any time I want.

Don't stop writing, no matter how many rejections or roadblocks come your way. If writing isn't something you like to do, but something you HAVE to do, then that's a good indication that you have - in my opinion - what it takes to succeed.

Doing publicity for the release of Nightmarist, thinking about the audiobook, and maybe a special hardcover edition. And, of course, what might be next....

By getting out in the world! Jogging, fishing, listening to music, playing the guitar. Music is huge for me, actually.
