I don't really get writer's block... Maybe because I recognize when I need to take a drive (see above), go be outside, or just switch gears on projects, or between different projects. Keeping everything fresh, whether it's drawing in the evening, making leather, writing non-fiction, or working on different parts of the work in progress, keeps it fun and interesting.

Driving. More specifically, because I've driven in many climates and regions, driving through the Western US. I-70 from Colorado to California. The Rocky Mountains. Doesn't matter the setting of the story itself; being in these places ignites my imagination.

I have had it for many, many years. I want to say I was around fifteen years old when I started writing it. It was sparked while I was reading Christopher Paolini's Eargon series. I wanted to know the story from the villain's perspective. Now we're here :)

I don't have a specific place, but I would probably do what I do in real life: In a big city I find a park to forget I'm in a city... then get food. After that, rent a car (or horse, I like fantasy) and travel the countryside.

I recently read Hall of Smoke. So great! Now I've picked up author Joe Vallen's books. I'm enjoying them.

I am a Merchant Marine. I in fact plan on writing a shipboard horror story in the future. Working on ships and living on the ocean is too wild to not write about!
