For me, it's adult playtime. In my professional life I worked as a teacher, a librarian, and an advisor, so now when I write, I let my mind soar. I love it! Writing can be a combination of flamboyant creativity and functional mechanics but the entire process is invigorating.

I take a walk in the forest. I pray. I relax. I don't push myself too hard.

Write every day. At the beginning, don't worry about grammar, punctuation, or syntax--just write. I only spend about an hour or two writing each day, but if I write one or two pages each day, after a month, I have thirty or forty pages. After another month, the book has sixty pages. And if you maintain this schedule, sometime during the year, you'll realize, "Hey, I wrote an entire book!"

The second book in this trilogy. The book is entitled, "And Heavenly Things" and it should be released sometime late fall.

Honestly? I pray before I write. Sometimes the story rolls along without a lot of prep and other times, the plot takes a wild turn in another direction. I love those wild turns because it confirms to me that the Lord is inspiring my writing.

As a university academic advisor, I learned that many young adults had little or no background in the Holy Bible, but they couldn't read enough books about wizardry and magic. They were earnestly seeking a greater power yet unsatisfied with the books they read. I thought, "There isn't a more powerful book about supernatural events than the Bible and these events have been documented by multiple sources.
Consequently, I decided to write a fictional story that incorporates biblical stories into a modern setting. I chose the tribulation period because I wanted to combine historical accounts with future prophecies to pique the curiosity of these intelligent readers.
