I found some pictures and a piece of mail in a book that came from a local thriftstore. The book, the pictures, and the mail was from Scotland, but I live in NC. I've recently reached out to the person whose name was on the piece of mail, and sent the pics and mail to them in Scotland. I forgot to add my email address, though, so I may never hear back...but I hope I do!

Join a professional writing group such as SCBWI and the NC Writers' Network. Also, join a critique group...they are free and wonderful!

I pray...I write other things...then pray some more! :) I also like to do things other than write. Washing dishes is not my favorite thing, but it gives me time to think about the plot and what I need to fix.

The dog in the story was inspired by one of my dogs, Holly. She was a rescued bloodhound. We miss her a lot, so it was nice to add her to the story!
