As I entered my house, setting my keys on the table, I noticed that the back door was open. The last thought through my mind as I slowly looked up at the creature hanging from the ceiling was confusion as to how it opened the door with those claws.

Inspiration can come from so many sources, I'm not sure there's really an answer to this question. I think you just have to stay open to every experience inspiring you to write something down. And make sure you always have the appropriate tools to do so!

Do it! Write something! It's never been easier to get your stuff out into the public sphere, and never more difficult to get people to actually read it! Seriously though, it's a pretty saturated market right now, so ultimately I think my first and last piece of advice is make sure you are writing for you.

That's a tough one. I think the common advice would be to work through it, but as with other things in my life, when something becomes too difficult or problematic to work on, I find stepping away to do something else then returning to the task at a later date gives me fresh eyes and added energy!
