My novel 'Fissure' is very much about manipulation and control. Over the last few decades, the politics of the United States and other places in the world have been drastically affected by fringe and extremist groups. Fissure explores this evolution in the age of misinformation and fake news.

A lot of music inspires me, actually. Anything from screamo (with very aggressive lyrics) to soft instrumental music that conjures images and feelings in my head.

Preparing for NaNoWriMo: The Heat of Stars is about a directionless commuter ship that is hurling through space on a collision course with a star. The crew must decide how they wish to die, because their fate is more or less set in stone. A mirror story is occurring on Earth about a woman in a recent breakup who decides to get back together with her ex.
The start of a new trilogy: Deliverance. Book 1 shows us the ongoing war between Deliverance and the Darklands, which was caused by a vicious attack by the Damned in the South. Two disillusioned soldiers slowly realize that the enemy is not who they think it is.
FOLLOME: a black-mirror-esque kind of story about social media robots that follow their subjects around and document their every move. Told in three parts: Alina's pursuit to social media stardom, Tryp's devolution into social media and porn addiction, and LoverKiller's search for a cure to the social media revolution.
